Onees<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Onees are a light-sensitive underground-dwelling race that, this being the Marvel Universe, have probably been retroactively declared some type of Deviant subspecies. Whatever they are, they have a plan: to pull all the iron on the surface of the Earth underground with their suction-ray and use it to throw the planet into an orbit further from the sun, thus allowing them to conquer the newly-dim planet. Their unnamed king, the architect of this plan, fails to account for the interference of Electro and Professor Zog, who put the kibosh on both it and his life by way of a metal-smelting furnace. (Marvel Mystery Comics v1 014, 1940)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ghost Cavemen<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These ghost cavemen reside in the ghost mountains West (Ghost West?) of Ghost Town and appear to have spent the hundreds of thousands of years of their afterlife just chilling out in their ghost caves. Hopefully they find that kind of thing satisfying. (Blue Bolt v1 012, 1941)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mexidians<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The planet Mexady, and more specifically its ruler the wicked Galada Eutopas, is the recurring foe of space hero Dan Hastings, who must foil schemes such as an attempt to destroy the Earth and substitute Mexady in its orbit, seen in the planning stages above. The Mexidian people are noteworthy for the magnificence of their mustaches, while the “Dan Hastings” strip as a whole is for the fact that it is one of those comic features from the early days of the form that don’t stay tied down to any one publisher and appears in both Centaur and MLJ publications. These poor Monkey-Men never even get a chance to explain why they have taken the salt miners of the Lost Empire hostage, as they are secondary antagonists at best in the one story they appear in. As such, their role is mainly to serve as punching bags for Queen Camilla and reformed assassin Caredodo to enact violence upon as a part of their journey to becoming boon companions.
